Well - not surprising there appears to be another developing scandal within the Volusia County Department of Public Protection (VCDPP). This newest scandal comes from the VCDPP Fire Service division.

According to local media accounts it appears that a Fire Captain (RAWLINS) and a Fire Fighter (GIRLARDO) had some narcotics in their private possession that they were not authorized to have.

Further, there are indicators that other county Fire Service employees falsified records by indicating that these drugs had been properly destroyed. Falsification of records appear to be a constant theme within the VCDPP. We invite you to read our web pages regarding some Volusia County Jail deaths, whereas officers appear to have submitted falsified reports.

VolusiaExposed.Com has made a public records request for the investigative packet mentioned in the below media articles. We are in receipt of these records and will be posting them on this website as they are processed. While other media outlets will tell you about the investigation - we here at VolusiaExposed believe you should be able to read the investigation and come to your own conclusions of what transpired.

After reviewing the media article, we are left wondering why these county employees were not criminally charged? Isn't the mere possession of these drugs a crime? Doesn't this just appear to be another one of those VCSO special non-investigations?

This whole situation reminds us here at VolusiaExposed of the time a Volusia County corrections officer was caught smuggling in contraband to inmates. Apparently this officer was meeting with inmate family members and being paid to smuggle in all types of contraband into the county jail. Surprise, that correctional officer was NOT criminally charged either - was it because his father was a Volusia County Jail Captain?

Click here -- to review the arrest report on civilian Gloria Prinz - she had prescriptions for her drugs - these two fire fighters or correctional officer McCallister did not have prescriptions - why were they not arrested?.

PUBLIC RECORDS ARE JUST NOW BECOMING AVAILABLE ON CAPTAIN RAWLINS PARTICIPATION IN THIS - BELOW WE HAVE POSTED SEVERAL DOCUMENTS, AND WE LEAVE IT UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHETHER THESE FIRE FIGHTERS SHOULD HAD BEEN CRIMINALLY CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION AS WAS CIVILIAN GLORIA PRINZ.
