Volusia County Deputy Involved In Road Rage Incident With A Juvenile Female

Updated
May 27, 2014
"Police throughout the United States have been caught fabricating, planting, and manipulating evidence to obtain convictions where cases would otherwise be very weak. Some authorities regard police perjury as so rampant that it can be considered a "subcultural norm rather than an individual aberration" of police officers."

Was Deputy Brian Hazen The Victim Or The Perpetrator?
Port Orange PD Can't Seem To Decide.

A Port Orange police incident report supports that Volusia County Sheriff Deputy Brian Hazen was involved in some type of road rage incident involving a juvenile female driver.

VolusiaExposed was advised on this incident shortly after it's April 22, 2014 occurrence. Our anonymous source's advisement, tended to support that the deputy was the aggressor in the incident - however, we wanted to review the incident for ourselves. Like many anonymous leads - the information we received was seriously lacking. While our source did provide the deputy's name (Deputy Brian Hazen), the source was unable or unwilling to provide which jursidiction.

VolusiaExposed was forced to go on a kind of a "Easter Bunny Hunt", in order to confirm whether this alleged incident had even transpired.

We first contacted the VCSO. Gary Davidson, the VCSO public information officer confirmed that they were aware of an incident involving Deputy Hazen -but that is all of the information that was gleaned from that contact. (Full Disclosure - VCSO acted appropriately by confirming their knowledge of the incident - but are not required to provide additional detailed information during the investigative process.)

VolusiaExposed then sent public record requests to most, if not all, law enforcement agencies within Volusia County via email, asking for any information involving Deputy Hazen.

To the credit of Port Orange Police Chief Gerald Monahan - he replied almost immediately, indicating that the requested information involved his agency. VolusiaExposed also was impressed with the rapid responses we received from the other Volusia County law enforcement agencies. WELL DONE BY ALL.

Since this is still an ongoing investigation - stay tuned and check back often for the rest of the story.
