"I was madder than a skinhead watching The Jeffersons!"- Larry the Cable Guy

In a recent episode of the History Channel series "Only in America" - Larry the Cable Guy visits the Volusia County Sheriff Department giving us a better understanding of how our local sheriff department works.

While VolusiaExposed will admit that Larry is a well known comedian that can properly poke fun about such topics as the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, we question whether Larry is the proper person to represent the professionalism of a law enforcement agency such as the VCSO.

VCSO Press Release regarding Larry the Cable Guy's visit

Most professional law enforcement agencies will attempt to avoid the stigma of being defined as a "good ol' boy" department. However, VCSO appears to want to embrace this "good ol' boy" persona that is well played by Larry the Cable Guy.

VolusiaExposed also invites the public to view Larry's recent episode of his television show "Only in America". After viewing this episode, we ask you to determine, is this how you want your sheriff department to be protrayed. Do you want "junior sheriff deputies" giving speeders one hundred dollar bills?

In closing this article, VolusiaExposed.Com wishes to deliver two messages to Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson.

First, we wish to have a professional sheriff department, not a bunch of "good ol' boys"

Second, don't you dare even think of repainting our sheriff cars to the paint scheme of the General Lee.
