Our Opinion Of Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey

In all fairness to Sheriff Ivey, we (VolusiaExposed.Com) must openly admit - that this publication holds a rather low opinion of him as a law enforcement officer.

Law Enforcement's Clown & Carnival Barker

It's been our observations, and experience, that Ivey desires to be more of a "politician" - than being a "law enforcement officer".

From Ivey's own mouth (see below linked video) - he has no reservations memorializing - within his video diatribes - his desire to be seen as "politically incorrect".

BCSO Deputies With
Questionable Backgrounds

Hiring Politically Incorrect Deputies

Perhaps - in Sheriff Ivey's attempts not to be "politically correct" - he has decided to "overlook" the questionable behaviors of some of his deputies. After-all, if you are a "politically incorrect" sheriff - you will desire to have "politically incorrect" deputies.

Recently, the Brevard County Sheriff Office (BCSO) has been rocked with allegations that deputies with "questionable" backgrounds are being hired and retained by the BCSO. The situations surrounding Deputy Jonathan Freitag and Deputy Jafet Santiago-Miranda are just two quick examples in support of these allegations.

Deputy Jonathan Freitag was hired by the BCSO - even through he was under investigation in Virginia for racial profiling and lying on police reports.

What Tattoos, If Any Are Being Hidden
From Public View Under Those Long Sleeves Shirts?
When Deputy Jafet Santiago-Miranda shot and killed two Cocoa teenagers last November (2020) - the media took a deep drive into his background.

Questions arose as to whether Santiago-Miranda's past history (both pre and post employment) should have precluded him from ever wearing a badge.

State Attorney Phil Archer eventually cleared Deputy Santiago-Miranda of any criminal wrong doing regarding the Cocoa shooting incident.

Deputy Santiago-Miranda's employment with the BCSO appears to be intact - regardless of his un-covered past "politically incorrect" behaviors.

Judging Law Enforcement Officers
By Their Tattoo Sleeves?

Over fifty (50) years ago - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. told this nation of his dream - that one day, his four little children would not be judged by the color of their skin - but by the content of their character.

Obviously, genetics determine the color of any person's skin. However, the tattoos - we as individuals - choose to place on our bodies - can be a window into that individual's character.

Many law enforcement agencies throughout the world routinely photograph criminal defendants' tattoos. Some agencies maintain computer data bases of these tattoos - in order to associate these criminal defendants with known gangs and terrorist groups.

Therefore, it would appear to be appropriate - for the public to question the possible associations of tattooed law enforcement officers with known extremist groups.

The Truth
The Long & Short Sleeve Of It

The picture above (right of page) is of eight (8) Brevard County "road" deputies. Four of the deputies have short sleeves shirts on - while the other four have long sleeves shirts on.

Question: Are these long sleeve deputies hiding tattoos that could associate them with extremist groups - or any other content that could bring into question their ability to be fair and unbiased law enforcement officers?

Naked & Afraid?
Catching Sheriff Ivey
In Short Sleeves

Recently, this publication came across a Facebook photo of Sheriff Ivey - while in short sleeves - arresting a man (see upper right of page)

On Ivey's observable lower arm - is what appears to be the Greek lettering tattoo of "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ" (as known as "Molon Labe" - as translated within a different Greek dialect).

A Close Up Picture Of A Tattoo On Sheriff Ivey's Arm

The Greek term is associated with the 480 BC Battle of Thermopylae, a three (3) day battle between the armies of King Leonidas of Sparta, and Xerxes I of the Persian Empire.

Prior to the battle - and because Xerxes' army greatly out numbered Leonidas' - history reports that Xerxes demanded that Leonidas' army lay down their weapons. History alleges that Leonidas' response was "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ" (Molon Labe ~ "come and take [them]").

In modern day - the Greek term has taken on a new meaning - mainly because it has been adopted by several organizations / groups.

In the United States, the term is associated with gun rights groups, who generally opposes gun control legislation.

This Greek term has ALSO been firmly associated with the para-military organization called "Oath Keepers".

The Oath Keepers have been referred to as a far-right, anti-government militia organization generally composed of current and former military and police officers who claim to be defending the Constitution of the United States. Its members ARE encouraged to disobey orders and laws which they believe would violate the U.S. Constitution.

Several known members of the "Oath Keepers" have been criminally charged with being actively involved in the January 6, 2021 insurrectionist storming of the U.S. Capitol.

Is Sheriff Ivey A "Oath Keeper"?

There exist an old adage - "if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...then it is a duck".

Any Internet search on Sheriff Ivey will reveal a treasure trove of videos and articles that appears to align many of the "Oath Keepers" core beliefs, with Sheriff Ivey's vocalized beliefs. Several of these articles and videos were produced by Ivey himself.

Last July (2021) - FloridaToday.Com reporter Alessandro Marazzi Sassoon wrote an article that basically explored Sheriff Ivey's apparent alignment with these extermist groups - such as the the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, and the Three-Precenters?

Sassoon's article was picked-up and re-published by several media organizations - to include MSN.Com.

According to the website Oathkeepers.org - members of the Oath Keepers must take the "Molon Labe Pledge" to resist disarmament and gun registration..

Late last month (July 2021) in Cocoa, Florida - an 11 year old boy was "accidentally" shot when two juveniles located a unsecured firearm (see sheriff's (BCSO) media release - right of page -->).

It's a crime in Florida to leave a gun unsecured - allowing a juvenile to gain unauthorized access to the firearm.

While the August 1, 2021 BCSO media release alleges that the BCSO is still "investigating" this shooting - other media reports indicate that the sheriff's office has closed out this shooting without criminal charges being anticipated.

Did an adult fail to properly secure a firearm? In truth - the public really doesn't know - because - the BCSO refuses to even acknowledge VolusiaExposed.Com's public record request for the BCSO incident report on the shooting. (Apparently his Majesty - King Ivey - holds the belief that he can also ignore Florida's public records laws)

Let us not forget - Oath Keepers do not believe in "gun control" laws - they take an "oath" not to recognize OR enforce those "laws". IF Sheriff Ivey is indeed a member of the "Oath Keepers" - THEN Ivey has taken the "oath" not to enforce "gun control" laws - and IF this is true, then Ivey has violated his elected "oath" to enforce the Laws of Florida.

Based on Ivey's previously recorded statements - indicating an apparent alignment with the "extremist right" - coupling that - with his apparent failure to fully investigate violations of Florida's gun laws - Ivey indeed waddles like a right wing neo-fascist duck. (Our Opinion)

Sheriff Ivey Has
The "Waddle & Quack"
Of A Oath Keeper

In May 1945 - with the defeat of Nazi Germany - many German Waffen-SS (Schutzstaffel) members attempted to blend into German society by simply exchanging their SS uniforms for civilian clothing.

Members of the SS had one problem - they all carried a tattoo under their arm that indicated their blood type - which made them very easy to identify as members of the SS.

Various extremist groups - whether they are the skin-heads, the KKK, Oath Keepers, or the Proud Boys - love their identifying tattoos. Given Sheriff Ivey's "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ" tattoo - he adds the "quack" to his "waddle". So the question remains....is Sheriff Ivey an "Oath Keeper" - we shall leave that for our readers to determine - we can only tell you that he waddles and quacks like one......
